A friend of mine said that his best friend left his personal belongings in his back seat during a car shipment and the items are missing.  He’s thinking about suing the car shipping company.  I notice that a lot of car shipping companies claim that they are not responsible. I’ve heard other people say that they left valuable belongings in their car and no one ever scolded them for leaving them there.  Isn’t it the truck driver’s responsibility to make sure that your personal belongings arrive safely?

No. Personal belongings are not allowed during car shipping.  If they are left in a vehicle for some reason and something happens to the items, it is not the responsibility of the truck driver or the car shipping company.
