As far as I understand, cars can be shipped in either open or closed trucks. Is that the case for motorcycles too?

No. Motorcycles are usually shipped in closed containers because they need to be secured with ropes or chains to prevent them from tilting over. Also, open containers expose the bikes to the elements and increase the risk of damage. There may be some companies out there that will ship bikes in open trucks, but make sure you read the fine print when it comes to insurance coverage and protection.

Yea, I always use enclosed shipping when shipping a motorcycle. That way there is less risk of any damage. Better to be safe than sorry.

In the bike's case shipping should be in closed. But one question arise in mind that car shipping also should be in closed than why is it open? because those may be damage. it it safe in open?
