Do pick-up and delivery dates change widely depending on factors like season? Is there any standard number to keep in mind?

Both pick-ups and delivery times can be more easily estimated during the off season (which varies depending on where you live, so ask the shipping company). In those cases, dates can vary by just a few days. During the busiest times of the month or around the holidays, it may take a week or more.
